Biggles sorts it out

Biggles smuggles a vital cargo from right under the enemy’s nose! A Chinese smuggler called Li Chi, who owes Biggles his life, has built up a secret store of rubber, a vital war material, that he would like to offer to the British war effort. It is hidden on a remote island off Malaya, currently under Japanese control, more than a thousand miles from the nearest Allied air base.

And there is no runway on the island… Not doubting Biggles’ ability to do the impossible for a moment, Air Commodore Raymond orders him to smuggle the rubber to India by plane.
