Attractive, ambitious and, occasionally, rather unorthodox in his methods, Sidney Kenyon is as much at ease in the diverting, mercenary glitter of London's gambling and night club scene as he is among his colleagues in the Criminal Investigation Department of the London Police. Pimps and prostitutes, villains and racketeers; Kenyon knows most of them and is even friends with a few. He's tough, smart, and honest. And he's also just been suspended from the force.

Kenyon knows he's been framed, but he doesn't know why or by whom. When his enemies decide suspension is not enough and try to kill him, Kenyon realizes he is fighting not only for his career, but for his life. The solution requires finding a dismembered body, tracing $3 million in ransom money, and tangling with the two biggest mobsters in London.
